Young People

We support specific projects that aim to improve outcomes for vulnerable young people (aged 12-24). Vulnerable young people are likely to have suffered from adverse childhood experiences and childhood trauma.

We seek to fund projects delivering early intervention and rehabilitation aiming to prevent re-offending and to divert young people from involvement in the youth or criminal justice system.

We are looking for innovative projects and targeted programmes with measurable outcomes. These are likely to include intensive interventions over a period of time and a trauma informed approach provided by crime experienced mentors.

Our average grant is £15,000 and our grant should cover at least 50% of the total project cost.

Projects will include those supporting young people in the community, in prison or young offenders institutions, or on release.
Providing the above support to looked after children and children in care.

Recent Projects

Crysalys Foundation – 2022 ongoing

Since 2022 The Linder Foundation has supported The Crysalys Foundation, an innovative UK charity seeking to prevent, reduce, mitigate and treat trauma, particularly childhood trauma.

The Foundation’s grant went towards Youth Court Solutions, a UK first in-person and digital at-youth-court problem solving model incorporating cross-sector and multi-disciplinary expertise to engage all those impacted by crime: defendants, witnesses, victims, family and friends.

Piloted in Northamptonshire the project is now transferring and scaling-up in the UK.

Feedback: “Youth Court Solutions is the missing link at court.”

Stand out Northamptonshire – 2022 ongoing

Since 2022 The Linder Foundation has supported Stand Out Northamptonshire, a progressive Northamptonshire based charity seeking to improve the lives and outcomes for children in care.

The Foundation funded a project to assist a multi-disciplinary working group, and those with lived experience, to co-produce a Children’s Home Model of Excellence and a strategy towards implementing it.

The project is at integration stage and has identified a credible UK partner.

Feedback: “This project could improve outcomes for children in care via a holistic and impactful transformation of how our community’s most vulnerable children experience their childhoods.”
